Aspects of Making Orders

Question 1: WHY DO I NEED TO PURCHASE AN 10% EXTRA?

Answer 1: As a rule of thumb, it is never a good idea to purchase the exact amount required to complete a job. As a contingency we advise customers to purchase an additional 10% on top of your order to allow for cuttings, cutting errors, onsite accidental damage and breakages. For Example 18.5m2 x 10% = 1.85m extra.

QUESTION 2: THE PAVING SLABS I'VE RECEIVED LOOK DIFFERENT TO MY SAMPLE?

Answer 2: Paving samples are cuts from larger natural paving slabs, and therefore only represents a small piece of something much larger. Being a natural material, each stone is unique and has its own set of natural variation in colours, textures and natural markings. The degree of colour variations and markings cannot be pre-determined prior to delivery or changed on receipt of the product.

QUESTION 3: HOW MANY SQUARE METRES DOES EACH CRATE COVER?

Answer 3: Four Edges project patio kits are purchased with 18.5m2 unlaid, unless stated otherwise. Laid with 10mm joint gaps you will get just under 19m2 coverage. Unlike some paving companies on the market we don’t charge for the gaps between paving slabs.

QUESTION 4: DO YOU SPLIT PROJECT PACKS?

Answer 4: Yes, we can split packs. There is a handling charge of £25 including VAT. This is to cover warehousing labour costs and for the materials needed for palletisation of bespoke orders.

QUESTION 5: CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

Answer 5: Please be advised that only full patio project packs can be returned. It is your right to cancel your order within the first fourteen (14) days, starting from the date you came into the physical possession of your complete order. If whereby you have purchased multiple items delivered on different days, the fourteen (14) days commences from the latest received delivery date. The product(s) must be unused, as new and as sold, in saleable condition and returned in the original unopened product packaging. Once goods have returned to Four Edges and thoroughly inspected and condition verified, we can begin the refund process. You are liable to pay the charges for the collection or the return delivery upfront or accept a full refund less the inward collection/delivery charges.

Aspects of Deliveries

QUESTION 7: WHEN CAN I EXPECT DELIVERY OF FULL PROJECT PACKS?

Answer 7: Subject to stock availability, Standard or Economy delivery usually takes 2-3 working days from the date of confirmed order. If new orders meets the criteria of being placed before 11am on a working day, orders will be dispatched the same day. Orders confirmed after 11am are dispatched the next working day.

QUESTION 8: WHEN CAN I EXPECT DELIVERY OF SPLIT ORDERS?

Answer 8: Subject to stock availability. We are happy to split down crates if required. Due to the heavy nature of the product and requires manual handling and re-palletising. Split Orders can take longer to reach you with a 5-day turnaround at minimum. We will advise you on when it is ready to be dispatched

QUESTION 9: WHAT ARE THE DELIVERY TIMES?

Answer 9: Weekday deliveries to be carried out between 8 am and 5 pm. Saturday AM to be carried out between 10 am and 12 noon.

QUESTION 10: WHAT HAPPENS AT DELIVERY?

Answer 8: Your delivery will normally come on a Tail-lift truck, unless specified otherwise and lowered to the ground. The one-man driver carrying out the delivery will be contracted to deliver to kerb-side nearest to the hard standing area closest to the end-point using a manual pump truck. You are entitled to 15 mins to check carefully your packaging for damages before signing the Proof of Delivery (POD). If the driver does not give you sufficient time. QUESTION 11: WHAT HAPPENS IF I IDENTIFY BREAKAGES?

QUESTION 12: COMPENSATION FOR LANDSCAPER DELAYS

Answer 12: Due to unforeseen circumstance or delays that may happen at the time of delivery is out of our control. To have your physical products in time, please, allow deliveries to take place 2-3 days before landscapers are due to start work. We will not be liable for the cost associated with delays to workers not receiving goods on time.
